Yessiree, it is that time of year!!!! Mardi Gras!! I LOVE this season. Everything is purple, gold, and green. Everyone is prepping for parades and balls and eating King Cake and it's just great!! I am so excited for my Krewe's ball coming up on February 8th.  My guests are my friends Jessica and Mike and Anna. Of course sharing the table with my BFF Amanda and her guests Jolie, Snooks, and Raven. I might be missing some peoples, but with this lineup we are gonna have a BLAST!!! The theme is Circus!!!!!!!!!!! This is my 7th year in my Krewe and my 3rd year dressing up in costume rather than gown. This is a fun mini unit with a Wizard of Oz theme!! It is designed as a mini ELA/Science unit to support learning about different types of weather.  We started off reading this book:  This is a perfect book for introducing weather. It's got great pictures and easy to understand explanations. I also created it to introduce our unit on nonfiction.
